Free Fire works differently from every gift card on this site, and the difference is good news.
A Steam or Xbox card is store credit locked to a region. A Free Fire top-up is not a card at all — the diamonds go to your Player ID, directly. There is no store to redeem in, no account region to match, and none of the region traps that catch people buying gift cards.
What you do need is the right Player ID. That is the entire risk, and it is worth being careful about, because a top-up sent to the wrong ID goes to a stranger and cannot be recalled.
Find your Player ID first
Do this before you order, not after.

- Tap your avatar, top left.
- Your Player ID is the number under your name — usually 9 or 10 digits.

Two things worth knowing before you spend:
The Elite Pass is the highest-value purchase for most players. If you are buying diamonds at all and you play regularly, price the Pass first and see what is left over.
Draws are gambling in shape if not in name. The odds are published in-game and they are not generous. If you are buying diamonds specifically to spin for a skin, decide the amount before you start rather than after the third near-miss.

No region lock — but check the server
There is no store region to match here, which removes the most common failure. But Free Fire runs regional servers, and a small number of top-up products are tied to a specific one.
The practical check: if the shop page names a server or region, buy the one matching where you actually play. If it does not name one, the top-up follows your Player ID and there is nothing to match.
This is why you will not find a region warning on the Free Fire product page the way you will on a Steam or Xbox card. The rule genuinely does not apply, and putting a warning there anyway would be teaching people to ignore the ones that matter.

Avoiding the scams around this game
Free Fire has one of the worst scam ecosystems of any mobile game, because its players are young and diamonds are what they want. Search for free diamonds and you will find generators, "hack" apps and giveaway pages. All of them are fake.
Three rules cover essentially all of it:
Diamonds are never free. Garena charges money for them because they are the business model. A generator is harvesting your account or installing something.
Nobody legitimate asks for your Free Fire login. A top-up needs your Player ID — a public number — and nothing else. Any page asking for your password or a login code is phishing. There is no exception to this.
Never share a top-up code. It is a bearer value: whoever enters it first gets the diamonds. Do not paste it in a Discord server, a group chat, or a screenshot.
