Coinsbee is a much larger business than ours. It advertises 4,000+ brands across 185 countries (its homepage says 5,000 in one place and 4,000 in another) and accepts 200+ different cryptocurrencies. We sell 22 products and take six coins.
If the comparison were about size it would end there. What makes this one worth writing is that Coinsbee and OnyxGift draw two important lines in different places, and neither placement is obviously right.
Line one: where identity documents start
This is Coinsbee's clearest structural feature, and to their credit they publish it plainly rather than surprising you at checkout.
From Coinsbee's own KYC/AML page: without verification, up to €1,000 per order and €10,000 in total. Past that, a KYC check runs through a certified third-party verification provider, and identity documents are required. Some products are restricted to verified accounts regardless of amount. Their support pages add that data is stored encrypted and not passed to third parties.
Our position is different in kind rather than in degree: we do not request an identity document, a selfie or a proof of address to buy a gift card, and there is no published threshold at which that changes.
That is not us being braver than Coinsbee. It is a consequence of doing less. Coinsbee operates at a scale and in a regulatory posture that pulls it toward customer due diligence obligations. We sell 22 digital products for crypto, do not convert crypto to cash, do not hold a balance for you and do not move money on your behalf — the activities that trigger those obligations. Which line suits you depends entirely on order size. Buying a $20 top-up? The threshold is irrelevant and this section changes nothing. Planning several hundred euros of cards, or repeat purchases that accumulate toward €10,000? Then knowing exactly where the wall is — as Coinsbee tells you — is more useful than a platform that has not thought about it.
Line two: where your code lives after you buy
This one runs the other way, and almost nobody weighs it before it matters.
Coinsbee does not strictly require an account. You can buy and have the voucher code emailed to you; sign-in is offered for faster checkout and order tracking rather than demanded. For a buyer who does not want another login, that is a genuine convenience, and some people specifically want the smaller footprint.
We require an account — an email address and a password — and the code is written into My orders as well as emailed.
The trade is this: a gift card code is not a parcel. If the delivery email lands in spam, or bounces, or you mistyped your own address, the code still exists and you have still paid for it. With an account, you log in and it is there. Without one, you are relying on an email that has already failed once, and on a support process that has to establish that you are the person who paid.
We picked the option with more friction at purchase and less at recovery. Coinsbee picked the reverse. Reasonable people choose differently, but choose knowing what each costs.
Coins: 200+ against 6
Coinsbee's 200+ asset support is a real advantage, not a marketing number, and it wins outright in one specific case: you hold something outside the major assets and do not want to convert it first. Converting a mid-cap altcoin to USDT costs a trade and a withdrawal, and if Coinsbee takes your coin directly, that is money and hassle saved.
For everyone else — and it is most people — the count matters less than it looks. We take BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, BNB and TRX, which covers what the large majority of buyers actually hold.
What we would argue matters more than coin count is network clarity, because that is where money actually gets destroyed. USDT is not one thing; it exists on several chains and sending it to an address expecting a different one puts it beyond anyone's reach. Price, and how to actually compare it
Neither of us can settle this in an article, because prices move by brand and by day.

Coinsbee if you hold an unusual coin, want a brand outside our 22, are buying in a language we do not serve, or prefer to check out without creating an account — as long as you have noted where the €1,000/€10,000 line sits relative to what you plan to spend.
Us if you are buying one of our 22 products, want the region rule spelled out before you pay, want somewhere to log back into when a delivery email goes missing, or want a shop that publishes what it charges over face.
Neither, if the brand sells direct and your bank card works — that is usually the cheapest route of all, and it stays true no matter which reseller you compare.

What happens if my code email never arrives?
