The game catalogue changes over time, and titles, features and availability vary by region, plan and platform. Some day-one releases are excluded — select Call of Duty titles among them. An internet connection is required, and cloud gaming needs a supported device.

How to redeem

Your code is 25 characters. Sign in to the Microsoft account you want the membership on before redeeming — a redeemed code cannot be moved to another account.

On the web (any device)

  1. Go to microsoft.com/redeem.
  2. Sign in to your UK Microsoft account and check the account name shown is the right one.
  3. Enter or paste the 25-character code, then confirm.
  4. If you already hold a Game Pass or EA Play membership, review the conversion Microsoft shows you before confirming — it cannot be undone.

On an Xbox console

  1. Sign in to your Microsoft account on the console.
  2. Open the Store from the guide and choose the Redeem option.
  3. Enter the 25-character code and follow the prompts.

Region

  • The code can only be redeemed on a Microsoft account registered in the United Kingdom. Subscription offers are available in selected regions only.
  • A code presented on an account of another country will be refused, and changing the account country afterwards does not make it work.

If you already have a subscription

  • Redeeming Ultimate automatically upgrades an existing Xbox Game Pass membership (Essential, Premium, PC or Console) and/or EA Play to Ultimate at Microsoft’s current conversion ratio. Remaining time may therefore convert to fewer months of Ultimate.
  • Conversions are final. Once converted you cannot change an Ultimate membership back to a previous plan, and converted prepaid time is not refundable.
  • Ratios are set by Microsoft and can change. There are also limits on how much prepaid time an account may hold at once — these vary by plan and country.

The membership itself

  • The code adds a fixed period of membership. Manage or cancel renewal in your Microsoft account or on your Xbox console.
  • Games, features and benefits change over time and may be retired. A specific title being in the catalogue today is not guaranteed for the life of your membership.
  • An internet connection is required. Cloud gaming, EA Play and partner benefits depend on supported devices and regions.

Delivery, faults and refunds

  • The code is digital content delivered immediately. Treat it as cash — we cannot replace a code that is shared, published or lost by you.
  • If a code is faulty — rejected by Microsoft and confirmed never validly usable, and not yet redeemed — we refund it in full.
